Step 1 - Open your photo |
If it isn't already open, open the photo you want to correct. |

Step 2 - Open the Red-eye Removal dialog |
Choose Adjust > Red-eye Removal, or choose this command from the Photo toolbar. The Red-eye Removal dialog opens. Notice the Left (for editing) and Right (for previewing) preview panels at the top portion of the dialog. (If the panels are hidden, click the Show/Hide Preview Panels button.) |

Step 3 - Choose the Auto Human Eye method |
In the Method drop-down, make sure the Auto Human Eye option is selected. This is the only option that allows you to choose a Hue. |

Step 4 - Choose a Hue and Color |
In the right side of the dialog, choose an accurate Hue and Color for the eyes. |

Step 5 - *Optional* Zoom In and Pan |
*Optional* To enlarge the view, click the Zoom In button. To position the eyes in the preview panels, click the Navigate button or drag inside the Right preview window. |

Step 6 - Click each eye |
In the Left (editing) panel, click the center of each eye. A control box appears over each eye, and the Right (preview) panel will reflect the current correction settings. To adjust the size of the control box, drag its sides or corners. |

Step 7 - Click OK |
Click OK to apply the correction. |

This Quick Guide shows you the basic steps to remove red-eye. The dialog contains a number of controls for fine-tuning the correction you apply. |

As with many other features, you may want to save your red-eye settings as a Preset if you'll use them often. |

The dialog's Method drop-down provides options for outling a pupil via point-to-point or freehand drawing, and even provides an animal red-eye removal option. |
